This is not what one usually wants. People need the structured editor features (and the functionality of TeXmacs such as previewing labels), which does not exist in an external editor.

I see. It aims to be a model editing layer for key binding and deals with the whole document instead of only code snippet. Hum, it is good idea. Similarly, if we have a decent minibuffer and completion interface, emacs can also be obtained in some way.
