Can we write Markdown type source code block in TeXmacs

If it is possible to write a markdown type source code block tn TeXmacs then an R user can render blocks of R codes using “knitr” package of R in its console. Thereafter, that rendered file can be opened in TeXmacs.

I experimented with this idea. And found that R codes are rendered in tm file in R console. But, when I open this tm file in TeXmacs the rendered text formats are disturbed. Moreover, Markdown type plot link is found there, but the plot itself is not fetched into TeXmacs, rather that plot remains in the subdirectory named “/figure”.

Any idea from any developer or community?
