Crash on sequoia

hello
on my new mac with sequoia 15.5 (24F74) yesterday TeXmacs 2.1.2 was working very well
but this morning no
i get an error from Apple each time i want to open anything, even TeXmacs itself without double clicking on a .tm but on the app itself “TeXmacs a quitté de manière imprévue.”
th crash logs are very long to send here
what i can say : being totaly lost and stressed because i need TeXmacs for my daily work, i tried to :

  • i donwloaded TeXmacs 2.1.4 arm on the website (but i tried also with 2.2 intel (with rosetta)
  • i kept the .dmg opened in \Volumes\TeXmacs
  • i open this by double clikcing
  • then every double click on a .tm was opening
and it worked a while and the pb occurs again

so i can totally not work… and i am stressing ; of course i have my very old mac where texmacs works… but very slow

Dear @vincent-douce, you may also want to try the testing builds of TeXmacs available here. After opening the “Table” view, look for the “macsequoiaarm” build corresponding to r15205, which should be suitable for your setup. If that version does not work, you can try other macOS variants. Just remember to back up your personal settings and perform a clean installation if necessary. By the way, a new official version will be released in January.

hello Xuyuqyu1
inthe while, Grégoire has lead me to
https://www.texmacs.org/builds/revisions/15205/distr/qt6/macsequoiaarm/macos/TeXmacs-2.1.4.signed.dmg

maybe this is also what you meant
with this version ot works

i go back to my work

if the beug i encontered can be useful to others, i can make the test you want ;

for myself it is ok for the moment

I have encountered the same issue, tried a lot of things. the only thing that worked for me is running the following on terminal:

rm -rf ~/Library/TeXmacs
rm -rf ~/.TeXmacs

Hope this works for you too.
