Hello everyone,
My name is Vansh Negi, and I’m currently a third-year undergraduate student exploring open-source development. I’m interested in applying to MoganLab for GSoC 2026 and have been going through the proposed project ideas to understand where I could contribute best.
I have experience in full-stack web development and a solid foundation in C++ through data structures and problem-solving. While I’m comfortable writing C++, I’m still working on strengthening my deeper understanding of large-scale C++ systems. I haven’t worked with Julia or WebAssembly yet, but I’m willing to put in the time to learn whichever stack is needed.
At this stage, I’m open to contributing to either of the proposed projects. Before committing to one direction, I would appreciate some guidance:
- Based on my background, which project should I pursue with focused preparation over the next few months?
- Are there any beginner-friendly issues or smaller tasks I can start with to get familiar with the codebase and contribute meaningfully?
I’m ready to dedicate consistent time to learning the internals and contributing well before the proposal phase. Any suggestions on how to approach this would be very helpful.
Thank you.
