How big is the installer?

I don’t have broadband or unlimited usage, so how big is the installer and what does it do?
Does it unpack something or does it connect to the internet and start downloading and updating? Lyx needs Texlive which is gigabytes of stuff. So what does Texmacs need?

I am not sure what OS you are using, but no Internet connection is needed after the installer/package is downloaded. TeXmacs is also independent of TeX and/or LaTeX, and in particular, TeXLive is not necessary.

I forgot to mention, the OS I am using is windows.

Windows installer is around 120M. Hopefully not too big for you.

Thanks. That will work. That TexLive made me wonder about what I’m getting into. My needs are not that big.
