How to adjust comma decimal separator gap size?

Hello, the comma separator for decimal numbers is typeset in a weird manner in math mode. There is a large gap between the comma and the digit. Is it possible to adjust this? In Europe we sometimes use the comma as the decimal separator not the period, i.e. we write 3,2 not 3.2.

I think it is possible to assign the decimal comma to the , key and the comma separator to the , tab key combination with kbd-map, I did not test it.
