When I change the font from Roman to Pegella, the heart symbol
becomes a solid one.
But I would really prefer a hollow version. I would be very grateful if you could tell me how to type in a hollow heart symbol of the font Pagella in a right way.
How to type in the hollow heart symbol of the font Pagella
Yes, it’s odd. This happens for other fonts as Pagella as well. I’ll see if I can find out why this happens.
In the meantime you can enter the Unicode for the hollow heart symbol (♡
U+2661) manually by doing Esc+q followed by #2661 and Enter (or copy it in from somewhere else). For convenience you could define a macro (copy, then “Paste from TeXmacs”)
<assign|hheart|\<#2661\>>
and you might want to make it a math operator as mentioned in your previous thread.

The default heart is encoded in TeXmacs as character #2665, which is the black (solid) heart suit. The Roman font only seems to contain the white (hollow) heart suit, so it is the Roman font which is the exception. If you want to make sure you get the white heart, using #2661 is the safest bet.
