Idea: A way to test students on their ability to use TeXmacs quickly and accurately

Maybe teachers/professors could use this test to ensure that their students are good enough with TeXmacs to use it for taking notes, writing up their assignments, and taking exams.

You could even have Duolingo style lessons that teach TeXmacs usage to prepare students for a TeXmacs usage exam.

I don’t think this is neccessary. Many students prefer other software. Imagine being tested on how efficient you are in using MSWord for taking notes on lectures. I wouldn’t like that and see no point in it.

Agree. IMHO, that sort of requirement might lead to side-effects instead of advantages. It seems better to show them TeXmacs with demo in class, and let them decide on their own.
