When you save your document, people from all over the world working on a SIMILAR TeXmacs document will see your name and document. They could even view the current version of your document (assuming you have made it public).
Note also that this system would make it easier to share macros with other people working in your field. For example, you could make it so only the macros are public until you have finished your TeXmacs document.
