New line inside paragraph

Hello,

I’m a real Texmacs beginner.
So I’m sorry if my question is silly.
I can’t make a line break inside a block.
In fact, if I press ENTER at the end of a sentence, it creates a new block with a space in relation to the previous block.

I’d like to have a paragraph like :

blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
An oriented angle has several measures.
blblaablaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

and not :
blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

An oriented angle has several measures.
blblaablaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Thansk in advance for your help !

Jean

Hi @yax44 and welcome to the forum.
You might mean two different things.

  • If you want the same spacing between paragraphs as the interline spacing, you might try the “article” style (from the menu: Document -> Style -> article).
  • If you want to keep the larger spacing between paragraphs as in the default style (“generic”), but you want a line break inside a paragraph, then insert a “new line” (from the menu: Format -> Break -> New line)

Hello,

The 2nd solution is exactly what i need.
Thanks a lot !

You can also change the spacing bewteen paragraphs (not “blocks”) by using the Document->Paragraph menu item and there change the setting.
