No borders for my tables!

I just bought a computer that displays 1366x768 pixels. With another displaying 1920x1080 pixels, I can create a table by defining the borders, but with this one, it is impossible to obtain all the drop-down menu (at least 20 lines) going up to “borders”, and my tables are no longer delimited, almost unusable.
Thanks for your kind help !

I think it would be useful if you could post a screenshot of what is happening. It would make it much easier you understand the issue.

Thank you for your kind advice. Here are the screenshots.

I would suggest you to update to the last version of TeXmacs (1.99.21). Also you can use the focus bar (the third toolbar from the top) to modify the table, you do not have to use the popup menu if it does not work correctly. From the magic wand icon to the rightmost icon, they are all useful to modify various characteristics of the table. Please refer to the online Help->Manual->Tabular material for further insights.

Do you happen to know which version of Qt is installed on your machine? Which operating system is this?

Thanks for the screenshots, it’s much clearer now.

Are you using these two displays at the same time? When do you get the error message on the terminal?

No, I don’t understand why, TeXmacs no longer starts when I am a current user. I was able to open my math document only by opening it as superuser.

Maybe your document does not have the correct permissions, for some reasons.

You should not run TeXmacs under root. As mgubi suggested, it might be better to upgrade TeXmacs first. After that, could you please temporarily move the TeXmacs files to test:

$ cd ~
$ mv .TeXmacs .TeXmacs.old
