Page break within figures and tabular/table

I sometimes put many images in the big figure environment (multiple rows). I found that TeXmacs doesn’t insert a page break within a big figure, even if that results in large empty space in adjacent pages.

I also tested that if the big figure is longer than the page height, the part that’s too long will simply be clipped out of the page and no longer visible. I would imaging the page break algorithm to prefer whole figure/table in a page, but also always avoid overly big empty space and content clipping.

What I wrote above is true for using multiple 1-row table in a big figure. But another problem is that TeXmacs also doesn’t page break within tables/tabulars. It’s the same behavior as big figures—no page breaks and part that’s too long gets clipped out of the page.

Is there a way to let TeXmacs automatically page break within figures and tables? If it can’t, can I insert page breaks manually?

I tested I think all of the breaks and I did not manage to split a figure in two with a page break.
For a table, you can activate automatic breaking for the simple and the wide tabular from the table properties menu on the ribbon (did not check for other kind of tables); borders do not work well if you do and activation does nothing if the table is in a figure (tried with wide tabular inside big figure).
