How do I setup table captions above the table and figure captions below the figure? The caption above option seems to affect both.
Table captions above, figure captions below
Hi,
Maybe it’s a bug. We had the choice before (with texmacs).
Try with texmacs (and not Mogan) to see…
best regards
I looked into it on TeXmacs and I think that it might be intentional, and also difficult to change.
In fact the menu item that controls the position of the caption appears when the cursor is in the (big-figure-tag-list)
; that list I think is controlled by the group (big-figure-tag)
. The menu item itself adds the captions-above
package to the style.
To change it one should redefine the (big-figure-tag)
group, get TeXmacs to re-generate (big-figure-tag-list)
; rewrite the menus for the tables and for the figures; change the captions-above
package into two packages, one for figures and one for tables.
I would have to experiment to see if I achieve that, as I don’t know how some of the code works (e.g. the code that generates (big-figure-tag-list)
. Maybe one of the developers can give a hint.
