TeXmacs not working

I updated TeXmacs from version 2.1.2 to 2.1.4. Everything went well for about 4 hours of use. I turned off the computer and the next day I resumed work; unfortunately, to my great disappointment, TeXmacs no longer worked. In fact, the program loads and a blank sheet appears and the menu is completely absent; more precisely, in the menu bar only “TeXmacs” appears, but everything is blocked and to exit I have to do it through the “Force Quit” function.
I repeated the installation several times, but always obtaining the same result.
Even clicking on the name of a “.tm” file I always obtain the same effect, that is, the impossibility of using TeXmacs.

I use an Apple machine with macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 operating system.

I kindly ask for your help so that I can use TeXmacs again.
Thank you for your attention.

The problem is about the user configuration folder. I do not know where it situates under MacOS. On Linux, it is at $HOME/.TeXmacs. You back up such a folder by, say, mv $HOME/.TeXmacs $HOME/.TeXmacs.bak, and restart TeXmacs again to see whether it works.
