Tufte handouts like layout?

Hi all,

I’m discovering all the beauties of TeXmacs and loving more and more each day.
Coming from a latex background, I was wondering if a Tufte handouts layout could be made with little to no TeXmacs knowledge.

It’s a 1.5 column layout: a layout with wide outer margins where you can place small figures, tables or just sidenotes. Big figures could still go inside the text block, while even bigger figures could use both the text block and the margins:

What do you think TeXmacs gurus ? Is it feasible or at least can we tend to this ?

Thanks and have a nice day

As first approximation I would tend to use margin notes to reproduce the occasional two column layout. It should be possible in TeXmacs to change the margins of paragraphs to “protrude” outside the official page margin.
