Warning: couldn't concretize tuple (concat, etc, papersize)"

Hi! Long-time user here. As of yesterday, apparently for no reason, any time I open a file with TM, I get the warning:
“Warning: couldn’t concretize tuple (concat, etc, papersize)”
Then on the next line: “Warning for C:/…filename, No error.” and then the file does not open.

This happens for all files I or my collaborators had made previously. I can still launch Texmacs, create new files, save them, and then re-open them. Others can still open the files. I have deleted the Appdata ~/.Texmacs folder, and reinstalled Texmacs, neither has done anything.

I have never used any paper size tweaks, and have only used Generic and Article styles. At a loss for how this happened and what to do about it, a ton of my work is now un-openable at least by me.

It might be a nasty bug. If no one answers here it might be best to first try the mailing list and then report it as a bug in Savannah. I am not able to interpret the warning.

The “bisection” method might help in figuring out what makes the files not possible to open. That is, take one file, open it with another computer, delete half of the file, see if you can open it , if yes, the cause is in the other half, if no, the cause is in the half you kept; repeat till you find the smallest portion of file that causes the “cannot be opened” state. One needs to include in the bisection procedure the parts after the closing </body> tag, which you can see if you open the file with a text editor; it may be that when deleting those one needs to be precise with the deletion of the blank lines, but I do not know.

It would help us help you if you can open your tm doc using a text editor and search for papersize or etc things like these, and post related contents here.

What about moving the files in a different folder and try to open them from there? Do I understand correctly that you cannot open old files? Or only that one? Or only those in a certain folder?
