I have been using texmacs for a very long time but switched to mogan because of editing speed. Mogan feels much more responsive than texmacs. However, I have recently grown tired of mogan changing things randomly, crashing a lot, or using my network to download things that I didn’t ask for. Also, not to mention the distracting Mandarin writing all over the starting page. I would like to get back to vanilla texmacs because all I want is a simple way to write my documents. I don’t want any of this vibe coded editors. My question is what is making texmacs less responsive than mogan when it comes to editing. This has been the case for at least since mogan was released.
